Dalitiwan Resort – Stream of Love

I don’t usually make a fuss about Valentine’s Day. This year it fell on a weekend so I decided to gather my family and friends to celebrate the day of LOVE. I wanted to go to a place where I can breathe and relax.  Easy access. No hassle. No fuss.

Dalitiwan Resort is located at Brgy. Ilayang Banga, Majayjay, Laguna. The town is famous for its crystal clear icy water and waterfalls. It is not hidden, no arduous walking or trekking and no need for a guide. It is the PERFECT place I was looking for. Trust me this resort exceeded my expectations.

 

The Roadway

While on the road our eyes feast on scenic view of rice fields, towering trees and most of all enchanting mountain of Banahaw. What a treat, right?! 🙂

How to get there?

Head  to Cubao, Pasay or Alabang provincial bus terminal. Take a bus going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

There are three entry ways to Dalitiwan:

• Sta. Cruz – Magdalena – Majayjay Route
• Sta. Cruz – Calumpang – Majayjay Route
• Sta. Cruz – Pagsanjan – Cavinti – Luisiana – Majayjay Route

I highly suggest you take the Sta. Cruz – Magdalena – Majayjay Route. This is the fastest and shortest way if you are coming from Manila. According to Waze, Dalitiwan Resort is 22 kilometers away from Sta. Cruz. Luckily, our house is just 4 KM away. ^_^

From Sta. Cruz ride a jeepney going to Majayjay. Expect a lot of twist and turns!

I strongly recommend you hire a tricycle from Majayjay town proper to Dalitiwan Resort rather than riding a jeepney bound to Lucban. The resort is along Majayjay – Lucban road but they have a pretty small signage which is easy to miss. Also, the resort is far from the entrance.

 

The Resort

From the entrance there’s no hint what awaits you inside. You’ll see a plain rock wall with an open gate and a house inside. Resort fees are collected at the entrance gate.

The road towards the resort is still under construction but sacks, cements and other construction materials are neatly arranged on the side. Some parts of the resort is also under construction, but it didn’t feel like the place is a construction site. No eye sore!

The thing that impressed me the most is the cleanliness of the place. The employees clean the open cottages as soon as the guests leaves. They are constantly cleaning the surrounding. No overflowing trashing bins. Very neat indeed!

As soon as we got off of the tricycle, somebody approached us and asked if we have reservations. My friend showed her the receipt, she told us to follow her and guided us to an available table. Easy breezy! 😉

Then we settled in! We unpacked our lunch and enjoyed a delightful meal.

I didn’t see any store in the resort where you can buy ready to eat food but there are available grills which guests can use.

Summer is just around the corner. If you want to beat the summer heat, this is one of the best places you can go to. The icy cold water is indeed invigorating.

We had an awesome time in Dalitiwan Resort. Hopefully they can keep on caring and loving the nature that provides them business and happiness to the guests. As I’ve seen they are on the right track. We are definitely coming back. ^_^
